With the holidays coming up, now is the time to get your brand on social media.

The National Retail Federation defines the holiday season as the months of November and December. This is the biggest time of the year for retailers of all shapes and sizes – this includes your small business or restaurant. Holiday sales can account for as much as 30 percent of a retailer’s annual sales. This year, NRF estimates that holiday sales will increase 3.7 percent to $630.5 billion, compared to last year’s 4.1 percent growth.

How do you get in on that $600 billion? Engage on social media.

When do you start? Now!

Shoppers are already starting to think about how they are going to spend their money this holiday season, so you should be too.

What do you post about?

To help you connect with your audience we have a free comprehensive content calendar for you to use.

You can also post about upcoming specials, deals, or offers. Get the conversation going now so that when they start planning their holiday, your brand is at the top of their mind and search engine.

Tell a story as it relates to your brand. Holidays typically revolve around family and friends, therefore make your brand part of the family. Make your audience feel as though you belong in their home or wherever it makes sense for what you’re selling. Don’t be afraid to tug at the heart strings.

Talk about wish lists and gift ideas. Put your product or service in the middle of their living room, around the dinner table, or under the tree. Describe feelings of joy, relief, and comfort that comes from having your product. Does your product save time or energy? Convince your audience that they could be doing other things while you do their work for them.
