As a social media marketer there are a few things that I couldn’t live without. When I talk to colleagues, we often talk about business practices and philosophies, but here’s my chance to share with you those tools in my toolbox that make my life easier. (I’m not affiliated with any of these companies – I just like them enough to talk about them!)
Dropbox is a file hosting service, also known as a cloud storage service. Content that is added to Dropbox can then be synchronized to Dropbox's servers and to other computers and devices that have Dropbox installed. This synchronized file sharing allows you to keep the same files up-to-date on all devices across all users.
I use Dropbox in my business to share files between team members as well as with clients to easily share images and documents. This eliminates a good percentage of my emails since everything is synchronized and updated automatically.
The best part is that it is free to use as long as you don’t need more than 2 gigabytes for your personal storage. We rapidly outgrew the free version, but it’s totally worth it to upgrade to Dropbox for Business.
Bonus feature: It’s available in a mobile app.
Their slogan says it all, “LastPass remembers all your passwords so you don’t have to.”
You’ll no longer have to keep track of all your passwords and with the password generator your passwords will be more secure. This has saved me more than once.
LastPass for business allows us to securely share and manage passwords for our entire team, so we no longer have to send sensitive information via email.
Bonus features: They offer a free personal version and it’s available as an App.
Facebook Pages App
Our team manages multiple Facebook pages and the Facebook Pages App allows us to manage these on the go. Especially handy when we need to make a quick edit or respond to messages quickly.
With the app you can:
Post updates and photos and respond to comments
View and reply to private messages
View the latest Page Insights
Bonus feature: You can turn on (or off) push notifications to your phone.
